The Knightsbridge to launch at least 114 flats by month end at the earliest

(Leung Yuet-kam) A number of new developments will be put up for sale during the ‘May 1 Golden Week’, as Henderson Land, Wheelock Properties, New World Development, Chinachem Group and China Overseas Land and Investment partner with Empire Group to launch The Knightsbridge at Kai Tak. Alan Hon, sales (II) general manager at Henderson Land, said that the first batch of large unit bidding arrangements will be announced at the end of this month or early next month. At least 114 units will be put up for tender, focusing on large seaview units. A VIP night will be held next Friday evening and show flats will be opened to the public next Saturday. 


Li Fei-ru, deputy general manager of sales at Henderson, said that Club Knightsbridge has a saleable area of 70,000 square feet with more than 30 facilities, including a garden, banquet hall, 50-metre outdoor swimming pool, and a view of Victoria Harbour. The Clubhouse also features a 25-metre indoor heated pool and a fitness room, a British-themed children's playroom, a beauty massage room and a billiard room. The project has 12,000 square feet of retail space, facing the view of Victoria Harbour and the Government’s proposed “cherry blossom blizzard.” 

University Hill's first price list to offer a variety of units 


Sun Hung Kai Properties’ (SHKP) University Hill in Pak Shek Kok uploaded a sales brochure yesterday. SHKP general manager Hu Zhi-yuan said that the first price list announced next week will offer a variety of units. The project is composed of five residential buildings, providing 607 units, including Towers One, Two, Three, 5A and 5B of Riverview Court, offering open-plan to three-bedroom units with saleable areas ranging from 206 to 851 square feet. 


The standard units account for 85 per cent of the development, offering nine types of units. Standard units range from 217 to 640 square feet in saleable area, including open plan, one-bedroom, one-bedroom with study, two-bedroom, two-bedroom with storage, three-bedroom, three-bedroom with dressing room and three-bedroom partitioned units, while standard kitchen units cover two-bedroom partitions. About 90 per cent are open-plan to two-bedroom units with storage, with the main two-bedroom units accounting for over 50 per cent. WH Group chairman buys first home at The Cullinan for over HK$140 million 


SHKP’s The Cullinan at Kowloon Station sold a four-bedroom apartment with one parking space through bidding at the end of last month for more than HK$141.9 million, at a price per square foot as high as HK$90,000, a record high for the project. The unit is Room A, 88th floor, District 1, Block 20 Cullinan, with an area of 1,574 square feet and a four-bedroom unit. The buyer is understood to be Wan Long, the chairman and executive director of WH Group. Wan's stamp duty payment of about HK$6.03 million when entering the market, which is equivalent to 4.25 per cent of the property price, indicates his market entry as a first-time homebuyer.
