A new luxury development in Mid-Levels West, "The Legacy," jointly developed by Henderson Land (012) and New World Development (017), was officially named yesterday (16th). Located at 8 Castle Road, the project consists of two residential towers offering a total of 172 units. The highlight of the development is a three-story penthouse duplex with a usable area exceeding 12,000 square feet, making it the largest special unit in Hong Kong. Sales will be conducted through tender, with the first units expected to launch later this month.
The penthouse at The Legacy is set to break records, surpassing the 9,663 square-foot unit at The Corniche in Ap Lei Chau, currently the largest of its kind in Hong Kong.
The penthouse features a private elevator system offering direct access to a dedicated lobby on the third floor, along with a private car garage. Select special units also include private garages, while all residential areas are equipped with exclusive elevator lobbies, enhancing privacy and convenience for homeowners.
According to New World Development, the penthouse provides a villa-like living experience with stunning views of Victoria Harbour. Residents can enjoy a variety of premium amenities, including a 20-meter outdoor swimming pool, private spa rooms, and a private cinema.
In related updates, Emperor International’s (163) luxury project, the MVP in Mid-Levels West, begins tender sales today (17th), offering 35 units featuring top-tier Miele appliances valued at over HK$23 million. Additionally, Henderson Land’s Kai Tak development, The Knightsbridge, recently sold four units, generating over HK$177 million in sales. Among these, a bulk buyer spent HK$99.32 million on two units with a combined usable area of 1,382 square feet at an average price of HK$35,933 per square foot.
