The Coast Line II receives over 20,000 cheques, 31 times oversubscribed

(Leung Yat-hei) With the most number of cheques in 2023 so far, CK Asset’s The Coast Line II in Yau Tong will launch 626 standard units this Saturday (August 12), with a discounted entry price of HK$2.9 million. According to market news, the project has received a total of 20,000 tickets overall by last night, which is 31 times more than the first sales round of 626 units on Saturday, with the tickets to be closed at 8pm tonight. William Kwok Tze-wai, the group’s chief sales manager, said that prospective buyers from the Tseung Kwan O district accounted for 25%, those from Kai Tak district accounted for 20%, Yau Tong district accounted for 15% and Kwun Tong district accounted for 10%. 


Agencies predict more than 1,000 transactions for August 


Sammy Po Siu-ming, chief executive (Hong Kong and Macau) of the residential department at Midland Realty, said that home prices for The Coast Line II were similar to those of Home Ownership Scheme flats, and that the project received much positive reception in just a few days. 


The number of transactions for August is forecasted to exceed 1,000 – double that of July’s transactions – as a number of new affordable projects will be launched one after another. Po added that purchasing power would continue to flow to the first-hand market. 


Sutton development in Kowloon City to be launched in the short term 


In other news, Sutton – an upcoming new residential project developed by K&K Property Holdings on 18 Junction Road – will be sold in the short term. The development provides a total of 92 units. The project offers layouts covering one- to four-bedroom units, with saleable areas ranging from 379 to 2,138 square feet.
