Wetland buffer zone plan is outdated
Many abandoned fish ponds in "wetland conservation areas" or "wetland buffer zones" have sewage inflows, are covered with weeds, and even overgrown with invasive alien plants, and their ecological value is questionable. Many of the fish ponds in the "wetland buffer zone" have been filled and even reduced to open-air storage. The environment in some areas is getting worse due to the use of open-air storage. It is understood that the Development Bureau will review the planning guidelines for the "wetland buffer zone". SHKP hopes that the government will straighten out the wetland planning guidelines as soon as possible to achieve a win-win situation of "conservation and development".
