Wan chai is located in centre of HK island north. It combines the essence of tradition and new development. It also is one of the districts that oldest and full of culture freatures. The first large scale reclamation was started in 1921 in Wan Chai to meet the long term residential requirement. Many significant conventions were hold in HKECE such as the ceremonies of the return of Hong Kong to China in 1st , July, 1997, the world bank annual meeting in 1997, asian telecommunications exhibition in 2000, ministerial conference of the world trade organization in 2005 etc. Phase 2 of HKCEC is Golden Bauhinia Square. The Golden Bauhinia statue is placed there and it is also a location holding flag-raising ceremony every day.

Central Plaza
Central Plaza is located in No.18, Harbour Road in Wanchai developed by financial group of Sino and Sun Hung Kai. Old Wan Chai Post Office
It is the oldest existing post office building in Hong Kong which is located in border between Wan Chai Gap Road and Queen's Road East. The Old Wan Chai Post Office was buildt between 1912 and 1913 and served from 1st , March, 1915. Now the building is the declared monument of Hong Kong and used for environment resource center by Environmental Protection Agency, showing the data and pictures about environmental protection in free.
Hung Shing Temple
Hung Shing, also said the South China Sea King who was a famous sacrificial god in South China. He knew well about astronomy, geography, mathematics and so on. And in order to decrease the risk of fisherman or business group out to sea, he had built observatory to observe the weather. Unfortunately, he die young because of working too hard. The emperor confered him as Hung Shing King after hearing about his contribution and built temples for him along the coast. There are many large celebration activities in 13th, February of Chinese lunar calendar when Hung Shing's birthday.

Wanchai Computer Centre is located in Southorn Garden, No.130, Hennessy Road in Wanchai. It is a large computer centre in HK island including 3 layers of shopping malls supplying 140 stores. The Camellia
There two types of Camellia including The Scarlet Camellia and White Camellia. The wild Scarlet Camellia common named " Hong Kong Camellia" which has long history in Hong Kong. Botanist Allis was found this beautiful red flower tree when he came Hong Kong for collecting herbariums in 1849. Next year, botanist Zhang Bi-weng also came for this kind of flower but he said he only can found two of them. After more than 100 years, the Scarlet Camellia is commom here in Hong Kong. Aquilaria sinensis（Loun）Gilg
Although Hong Kong is shopping paradise gathering famous brands of the world, but the real local special in Hong Kong is not many. Aquilaria sinensis deserve to be called local special here which made by local incense tree and used for ancestral worship on New Year's Day or other festivals. Local people called it " Guan Xiang". It is said that the name " Hong Kong" related to this product. In earlier, the Aquilaria sinensis was stacked on quay waiting for delivery creating wonderful smell and people on ships can smelled it. Butterfly
Butterfly is one of the famous things in Hong Kong. We have 142 types of them here. The places where gathering most butterflys are Butterfly Valley and University Hall area.
